Successful start to the 2025 Heimat Trails Trophy

The first kick-off event of this year's Heimat Trails Trophy (HTT) on 16th May 2025 at the Rusel was a double success – in the morning with a varied school event together with the Wallerfing secondary school and in the evening with the HTT event “Trail into May” including a timed trail run.ng.

For the approximately 90 pupils from Wallerfing Middle School, the morning was not only a sporting challenge, but also a tricky one. Divided into two groups, half of the pupils first hiked a three-kilometre HTT trail. Meanwhile, the other group got to show off their brainpower at the STREICHER stand, where they tested their knowledge of apprenticeship professions with an oversized memory game and tried their hand at virtual hot wire with VR glasses. The children were guided by two STREICHER apprentices, among others. In addition, SSV Jandelsbrunn challenged the children's skill and attention with a city-country-river course and a life kinetics game. After an hour, the groups swapped places so that the pupils could try out every activity once. At the end of an eventful morning, the children received a certificate and a goodie bag from STREICHER.

In the evening, it was time for more sports activities: around 50 STREICHER employees and their families joined around 100 HTT enthusiasts at the Ruselabsatz for some joint exercise and fun. Whether on mountain bikes or e-bikes, running or walking, the athletes were highly motivated and in good spirits despite the cool and rainy weather. Some even achieved personal bests: Raphael Wagensonner, sales engineer at VTA Verfahrenstechnische Anlagen GmbH & Co. KG, ran an impressive time of 46:35 minutes on the 9 km trail, finishing second in the men's overall standings. Among the walkers, Franz Ranzinger, master mechanic at STREICHER Maschinenbau GmbH & Co. KG, secured second place among the men with an excellent time of 1:22:29 minutes, while Christina Kufner, commercial employee in the road construction and civil engineering division, took third place among the women with a time of 1:28:52 minutes. The “Shorty Trail”, with a total length of 3 km, was dominated by Sebastian Schönberger, Operations Manager for Asphalt Mixing Plants in the Deggendorf area, with a best time of 15:07 minutes, and Anna-Maria Oswald, Commercial Employee in the Raw Materials and Construction Materials division, with 19:07 minutes – both took first place in this discipline. We congratulate all participants on their fantastic sporting achievements! And yet, despite the sporting challenges, the Olympic spirit and the shared experience were still at the forefront for all participants.

As the main and event sponsor, STREICHER was once again on site in the evening with a stand and provided additional fun for the athletes with VR glasses. After the award ceremony, the evening ended in a relaxed atmosphere with music and tasty burgers and schnitzel sandwiches.
